During October, Utah Division of Wildlife Resources biologists will harvest eggs from spawning kokanee salmon at Fish Lake for the first time, due to lower production at the usual kokanee egg-take sites (Strawberry and Flaming Gorge reservoirs) this year.
After a recent suspected avian botulism outbreak killed thousands of birds in northern Utah, the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources is providing some safety reminders for waterfowl hunters this fall.

With the exception of tundra swans (which require a permit from the hunt drawing that ended July 19), waterfowl hunts in Utah are open to anyone with a Utah hunting license.
